Has Come to Creekside Medical Center at Lake Sumter Landing
“Yes we are open,” says Dr. Bill Fisher, who has recently moved to the Village of Bridgeport at Creekside Landing with his wife and business partner Louise after practicing his profession in California for the past 40 years.
Dr Willard (Bill) Fisher exudes a friendly but professional manner that seems reminiscent of the days of the hometown dentist.
“The practice philosophy takes us back to those simpler days that many Villagers may recall when they trusted their dental care with a hometown or neighborhood practitioner,” says Dr Fisher.
“We try to be accommodating to the patient and not force anything on them or impose anything on them”, said Bill, who graduated in 1970 from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. “We’ll educate them in a calm and reassuring manner.”
But expect skilled and knowledgeable recommendation, Bill added, considering he maintains a fellowship through the Academy of General Dentistry.
The staff at Sumter Landing Dental Care is committed to making sure that patients have their complete attention, along with finding out about what their wants and needs are. “We’re going to address their wants. Then we’ll give them an overview of their needs and how to improve them,” Bill says.
Years ago, by chance, the couple discovered The Villages while visiting friends who had settled in the community.
Like most Villagers, the couple quickly found activities that met their needs and wants. Bill plays golf, for instance. “That’s one of the big reasons we came,” Bill said.
“We feel blessed to be here,” Louise said. “It’s always been in the back of our mind to retire. And there is no place like The Villages!”
Sumter Landing Dental Care now offers “mini-dental implants”. One short visit to Dr. Fisher and your dentures or partials can be stable without surgical sutures or the typical months of healing.
